What is the market timing signal based on?
It has 4 components.
- 1) Proprietary charts which I send out to the members periodically
- 2) A mechanical moving average system
- 3) The best market timer
- 4) technical analysis tools
Why does your performance page not show the exact exit price?
- We use the exact exit from the autotraded positions. However, for the manual trades since we let half of our position run we are now taking an average sell price as the exit.
At what price should I sell?
After your order is executed you should place a stop sell order immediately at the specified price, (usually between 4-6%), as noted in the newsletter.
- If the stock moves up 3% or greater you should move your stop sell order up to breakeven.
- When the stock hits our target you can either sell all or sell half moving your stop higher as the stock moves higher.
What is the difference between the premium service and the regular service?
- The premium service is an intra-day trading service for only a handful of traders. It is currently closed to new subscribers.
What is the difference between a buy stop order and a buy limit order?
- Buy Stop Order = A market order to buy securities that begins to work once the specified stop price is attained or penetrated.
- Buy Limit Order = An order to buy a security at a specified price or better.
What is the minimum amount to invest?
- There is no minimum, however we post in our newsletter on average 3-8 stocks per week.
What brokerages autotrade for you?
- Tradeking, Optionsxpress, Trade Wall Street, Eoption, Speedtrader and Global-Auto Trading. Check our Partner Sites Page for additional information or the investools Nasdaq page.
Are there any fees associated with autotrading?
- There are no additional fees from our service to autotrade.
How will I know if the market is in an uptrend or downtrend?
- We post our market signal in the weekly newsletter. This signal is highly accurate and would cost significantly more than the price of our service if you were to receive it from the outside.
Most services give you numerous recommendations why don't you?
- We try to narrow our recommendations down to the stocks we feel have the greatest potential to produce gains in a short period of time. We usually post 4-6 trades per week.
Should I use stop losses?
- You should always use stop losses. We encourage everyone to set a 4-5% stop loss unless otherwise directed. We can't emphasize just how important stop losses are.
If the market is in a downtrend how do you find stocks that are poised to move on the long side?
- Although there are far fewer stocks to choose from there are usually sectors that are strong with stocks that are favorable. However, we all must use caution when going against the market trends.
Should all stocks be sold at the end of the week ( Friday)?
- No, not unless you want to free up capital for the next weeks picks. Updates on each stock position is posted in the weekend newsletter.
What do I do if your stock gaps up beyond the buy stop price?
- When a stock gaps up your buy stop order will be executed at the open price so pay close attention to the limit price listed. (Specific instructions on maximum buy prices are noted in the newsletter). You should adjust your stop sell order accordingly. If a stock gaps up past our buy order/max buy price and hits our target price your buy order should be cancelled. It is considered null and void.
